Sauna and Turkish steam bath
The sauna cleanses your body and relaxes your mind. Due to the high temperatures in the sauna, between 65 and 90 degrees Celsius, the skin is cleaned by means of perspiration. Saunas are also good for your cardiovascular system. It is important to cool down after a sauna to normalise your body's temperature and your blood pressure.
Turkish steam bath
The Turkish steam bath has a maximum temperature of 50 degrees Celsius and a 100% humidity level. The steam bath does not make you perspire, the body is heated by the water vapour on the skin. The effect is however the same as that of a sauna. Make sure to allow your body to cool down and to relax afterwards. You will then be ready for another visit to the sauna or steam bath, and another round of cooling down and relaxation.
Infrared sauna
An infrared sauna is a wooden enclosure which transfers as much heat as possible to the body in as comfortable a manner as possible. The infrared rays heat the skin directly without hot air being required.
The effect is that a lot of heat is transferred to the body at a low ambient temperature which does not feel uncomfortable (40 to 60 degrees Celsius). The body responds by increasing circulation to muscles and joints, and accelerates the removal of waste.
